The Department of Strategic Communications and Stakeholders Coordination (D Strat Comm) serves as the central coordination and communication hub for OPSC, managing relationships and operational linkages among the 17 participating MDAs as well as with international agencies, donors, NGOs, and state governments while ensuring programme coherence with national security, humanitarian, and development priorities. It facilitates joint planning, interagency meetings, and field operations, maintains an updated stakeholder engagement database, and develops partnership frameworks, memoranda of understanding, and donor engagement strategies. Simultaneously, it shapes and implements OPSC’s strategic communication agenda to promote transparency, public trust, and victim-centred narratives while countering extremist propaganda through credible messaging and human-interest storytelling. The department manages media relations, digital platforms, and public outreach campaigns, produces press releases, situation reports, and multimedia content, and trains spokespersons and communication officers across MDAs and partner institutions to ensure coordinated, accurate, and positive representation of OPSC’s work at local, national, and international levels.
